The Gorge Calls

From Spokane to Portland, we have always been connected by the river. Long before we met in the Willamette Valley, the ancient Missoula Floods carved a path from Caitlin’s home to Tim’s—cutting through the stone to create the Gorge before emptying into the valley where our lives finally intersected.

We chose Hood River to be the center of our new chapter. We wanted a place where we could pause and let our timelines converge—where friends from every era and family from both sides could stand on common ground.

We are gathering here to tie the knot around Unity, Savor, Family, and Joy. To us, that means merging our past and future into one present moment. It means slowing down to truly taste the food and breathe the air. And it means bringing the family we have and the family we choose into one circle. Thank you for meeting us in the middle—we can't wait to celebrate with you!

The Weekend

The Flow

We love Sunday weddings because they give us time to settle in, connect, and build momentum together. Here is the current outline for the weekend—exact details and times will be finalized as we get closer and gather RSVPs!

03

Friday

The Arrival

Settle into Hood River, then join us at the Phelps Creek Tasting Room for a casual cookout and Gorge wine to start the weekend.

04

Saturday

Fourth of July

A free day to explore the Gorge! Join an informal group adventure or do your own thing, followed by an open-ended meetup at the waterfront to watch fireworks.

05

Sunday

The Wedding

The main event, up at the Griffin House. Parking on the cliff is almost nonexistent, so we're shuttling everyone in from downtown Hood River together. Plan on the bus unless you've arranged to drive with us.

Savor & Unity

The Feast

We love this region for its ingredients and the people who craft them. We wanted our wedding meal to feel less like a banquet and more like a shared Sunday dinner with our favorite people.

StovePipe Sourdough

Wood-Fired Pizza

We chose pizza because it’s the ultimate shared food. Kent honors the region just as deeply as G-Love does—using local grains and wild yeast to turn the Gorge's best ingredients into something fun, communal, and totally unpretentious.

G-Love

Seasonal & Vibrant

Celebrating the best of Oregon's growing season. Vibrant family-style salads and craft cocktails that highlight exactly what is growing in the ground right now.

Raised Glasses

G-Love craft cocktails, local brews, and the Gorge wines we love.

To be shared.

Frederick's Rules of Engagement

"As Director of Domestic Operations, I run a minnow-based economy. I have authorized this celebration because the vibes are high. Your instructions are simple: Savor the food, find a sunny spot for a nap, and remember that chin scratches are highly encouraged."

The Attire

Gorge Formal: Wear a suit in any color, dress shirt and tie, or a dress knee-length or below. Embrace color and personality!

A Note on the Venue: Please know that the Gorge can get very windy and the ceremony will be on grass. We highly recommend block heels or flats, and bringing a warm layer for when the sun goes down.

Getting to the Wedding

The Griffin House sits right on the edge of the cliffs, so parking up there is almost nonexistent. We're getting everyone to and from downtown Hood River by shuttle, and for just about everyone that shuttle is the plan. Unless you've already arranged to drive with us, hop on at one of the downtown stops and we'll get you there. One honest heads-up: don't plan on Uber or Lyft — they barely work here, and you likely won't get a ride all weekend. We'll send every stop and time in a Know Before You Go email, and they'll all live on the Weekend page.

The Next Generation

We are centering Family, which means including the next generation. We are excited to share the dance floor with cousins of all ages.

RSVP

RSVPs are closed—thank you, and we can't wait to celebrate with you! If your plans have changed, just reach out via Zola and we'll get it sorted.
